Roll's Wrap-Up: 08/03/11

Hey everyone, David here. Tonight we need to talk about news and community related information.

First up: there is a poll on 1up's home page asking for which games we want resurrected. Mega Man Legends 3 is one of those choices, so get in there and vote for it! Secondly, there is a Mega Man Volnutt bobble head that is in consideration for production. You can vote for it here. Finally, many people have been posting the IGN article mentioning the Mega Man series written by Audrey Drake. People have already contacted her about looking into this group, and she's already commented on the matter. Please try not to flood her page.

In community related news, we have the Silent Protest going on at pixiv.net, run by our friends in Japan. Let's show them that we're fighting for the same cause!

Now I have a different message to convey, however. It's great that everyone is getting so involved in this cause, however things are getting very complicated. There's the facebook page, the blog, the international groups, the mail-in campaign, the devroom and servbot numbers...there's a lot going on at once. So, let's clarify:

Priority one right now is to get more servbots and support the devroom. We can have over a million likes on the facebook page, but if we only had 1000 servbots in the devroom then we wouldn't get so much as a glance from Capcom. WE NEED MORE SERVBOTS, PEOPLE! LET'S GET TO IT!

Close behind that is to sign the ONLY Capcom-recognized petition for Mega Man Legends 3. There are a lot of petitions floating around, but the one listed here is on Capcom's blog and is MUCH more likely to be seen by the company because of it.

This is where priorities start to even out. You could support 100K and the whole GetMeOffTheMoon team (or any other GetMeOffTheMoon page featured on ours: we're supporting each other). We have to make it clear that getmeoffthemoon.com is a project that International Strategies is working on, not an independent one. That being said, there are some pages that seem to splinter off of ours. The enthusiasm is nice, but we need to stay focused in one place. A lot of events and such are listed on the 100,000 Strong blog. You can even catch up on past Wrap-Ups and advice there, so it's not a bad idea to keep the blog in mind. Don't forget our Twitter, too!

If you feel like taking a more active role for the cause, you can participate in any of the campaigns listed here. These are all supported by us and this list is updated as new campaigns get sent to us. If you have an idea for a campaign, PLEASE send it in an email to us at rockvolnutt@ymail.com with CAMPAIGN in the title! We're getting lots of ideas from you all so far, and we here assure you that ALL of them are being read. Thanks for all the input you have to offer.

In addition, you can email any news sources you can think of to take a look at us, but make sure that the sources you pick would see us as relevant! We're not very likely to show up on a national talk show, but we've got a much better shot of getting noticed by members of the video game press. Remember to stay civil, though! You may be angry and/or frustrated, but we need to make a good impression on others! We're not a rabid fanbase: we are angry for a good reason so we have to treat this with a manner of professionalism. We need to actively seek out news sources but we CANNOT spam.

Yes, this is a LOT of stuff to do and it may be a little overwhelming, but that is because we are serious about this cause. We also need to stick together to keep moving! Thank you all for the support you have given us so far, but we're not even close to done yet. We don't want this game to flicker out of existence and we are going to do whatever it takes to get Mega Man off of the moon! This is what we're fighting for! Legends never die!
